No Spamming

Spamming of any form is not allowed. This includes character spam, message spam, emoji spam, command spam, or excessive use of the soundboard.

Examples:

Character Spam - dwatoitioxmtoemt
Message Spam - “Hi”“do” “you” “want” “my” “sword” as separate messages
Emoji Spam - 😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀😀

Major Toxicity

Any excessive bullying or verbal abuse of a player.

Examples:

“Fight me in the streets ur dogwater ill destroy like ur mom last night"
“I’ve seen a monkey with more talent than u loser go buy a bot to play 4 u”

Posting NSFW (Not Safe For Work) Content

Posting any pictures, links, or explicit sentences in chat. Examples include pornography, sexual comments towards users, or revealing photos.

Discussion of sensitive topics

Discussion of any topics that could be seen as sensitive or inappropriate in public. This includes but is not limited to: religion, sex, politics, or global events.

Examples:

“if you don’t go to church you will go to hell”
“hey wanna come to a diddy party”

Excessive Swearing

While we allow swear words on MineWave, excessive use of swear words is not allowed, especially when directed at another user.

Examples:

“this is fcking dogsht fk this i hate u cunts”
“Punkmagic fk u dumbass btch”

Discrimination of any form

Zero Tolerance

Any form of discrimination towards a race, sexuality, or group. We have an absolute zero tolerance policy with this and phrasing, usage, or intention does not change the punishment.

Examples:

“kill all gays”
“go be my slave monkey”

Asking for / or leaking personal information

Trying to obtain and/or distributing personal information. This includes phone numbers, emails, IP addresses, real names, or any information that could be considered personal.

Examples:

“Givin u a call at 514-500-5555”
“whats ur ph # and email”

Arguing with staff members

Failing to abide by staff orders, or interrupting a staff member’s attempt to do their job. If you feel a staff member is abusing their power, please make a staff report in #🎫support.

Advertising

Advertising another network, server, or any non-MineWave related resource or product. This includes the promotion of non-MineWave youtube content without prior permission.

Examples:

“go play someshitserver.gg”
“Everyone go check out my shop at realshop.shop”

Doxx & DDOS Threats/Attempts

Zero Tolerance

Making any attempt or threat to DDOS, doxx, IRL threats, or revealing personal information of another player. We have a strict zero tolerance policy on this, and no jokes in this nature will be tolerated. Any DDOS or doxx threats made in-game or on discord will result in a removal from both sides of our network without appeal.

Examples:

“Boutta hit you offline bud”
“bro u live at 54 Real Street Dr in LA”

Death Incitements

Zero Tolerance

Telling another user to inflict harm on themselves in any manner. This policy is zero tolerance and any jokes in the area will result in an instant punishment.

Examples:

“Player123 kys (keep urself safe)”
“user2 i hope u stumble over a rock and die tomorrow”

Malicious Links

Sending phishing, inappropriate, or otherwise harmful links to other users.

Examples:

“Go to prawnhub.com for giant corns”
“go sign into your steam account and stealyodata.net”

Event Disruption

Disrupting an event going on in the server, whether it be through spam, sabotage, or another method that attempts to undermine or ruin the event in any way.

Server Disrespect

We welcome constructive feedback regarding our network, however disrespectful and unproductive feedback will not be tolerated.

Examples:

“This server is shit and the owners eat dick”
“halorule denied me for staff because the server is cancer and dogshit”

Welcome to the Minecraft Network Rules. Please ensure you familiarize yourself with these guidelines to ensure a fair and fun gameplay environment for all.

Only English in Chat

We welcome different cultures here on MineWave, however, all public chat must be kept to English to make it easier on our staff team. Other languages may be used on signs and DMs as long as it's appropriate.

Examples:

Player Disrespect

Using harsher words than necessary towards other players. Targeted bullying or excessive bullying towards a player will be counted as harassment.

No Spamming

Spamming of any form is not allowed. This includes character spam, message spam, death message spam, command spam, or baiting the server into spamming the chat.

Examples:

Harassment

Excessive targeted bullying or verbal abuse of a player.

Examples:

Staff Impersonation/Mini-Modding

Attempting to impersonate staff or pretend you are staff. This also includes telling people what to do, or “mini modding” when you are not staff. Informing players of the rules is fine.

Renaming an item something inappropriate, or building a structure that is inappropriate. Doing so will result in a punishment and the build/items’ removal.

Inappropriate Names/Skin

Having an in-game name (IGN) or skin that represents or emphasizes racist, illegal, or inappropriate topics. Once you have changed it, you may appeal in #🎫support.

Event Disruption

Disrupting an event going on in the server, whether it be through spam, sabotage, or another method that attempts to undermine or ruin the event in any way. All chat offenses will result in harsher punishments if done during an event, and also cause you to get blacklisted from future events & giveaways.

TP Trapping

Zero Tolerance

Telling or baiting a user into teleporting to you with the intention of trapping them/killing them. This includes but is not limited to teleporting a user into /warp pvp to trick them into fighting you, or causing them to fall to their death upon teleporting. This will result in an instant ban.

Claim Trapping

Using claim protections to prevent a player from reasonably escaping or fighting back. A player is considered trapped if the claim contributes to their inability to escape, even if the trap is not fully inside the claim. Cobwebs are permitted as long as they do not prevent the player from escaping. PvP agreements will not be punished and will be considered player error. Staff discretion applies.

Punishment:

Claim Trapping offenses are half the duration of the TP Trapping punishment for now.

Autoclickers & Macros

Using external software to build, farm mobs, or automate something that isn’t possible within the vanilla scope of the game.

X-Ray

Using a mod, resource pack, or other method to find ores through walls.

Hacked Clients

Using external software or modifications to gain an advantage or do things not normally possible within Minecraft. Below is a list of allowed modifications. Anything not listed, we reserve the right to punish for within the discretion of our staff team. If you have a question about what may be allowed or not, please make a ticket in our Discord.

Allowed Modifications:

HUD mods including but not limited to: Coordinates, Status Effects, Damage/Health Indicators, Keystrokes, Armor Status, and Waypoints. Player tracers & minimap mods are not allowed.
Performance enhancing mods such as Optifine, Sodium, Phosphor, etc.
Client-side Visual Mods, such as Weather/Time Changer, Item Size modifiers, Item Physics, Shaders, and non-xray resource packs.
Schematica and AutoPlace, as long as they are not used to make harmful builds.

Bug Abuse/Exploits

Getting around rules, limitations, or other game mechanics through use of a bug or exploit. This includes using an Elytra in PvP, using a bug to grief a claim, or killing players outside of PvP using an exploit (separate from TP Trapping).

Punishment Evasion

Evading a mute, ban, or blacklist with any method except for signs, books, or other vanilla ways of communicating. This can result in all of your accounts getting banned from our server.

Griefing/Stealing

Griefing or stealing items within 15 blocks of another user’s claim. If the land is unclaimed or not close to a claimed area, then this is allowed behavior and won’t be punished for. If you trust a user in your claim, that is your responsibility.

Claim Blocking

Blocking someone’s claim by claiming the area around or next to it without their permission. Claiming a nether portal that transports to another players base in the overworld is not punishable. This will get your claim removed and possibly result in harsher punishments depending on the scenario.

Duping/Lag Machines

Blacklist

Attempting to duplicate items, money, shells, or any other material within the server, will result in a blacklist. So will attempting to build anything that will lag the server or worsen player experience at a major scale.

IRL Scamming

Zero Tolerance

Attempting, or successfully scamming someone for in-game items, currency, or resources of any kind, with the promise of a store purchase, real world money, or item that has real world currency value, such as a rank, crate keys, or otherwise, is strictly prohibited. This also includes getting someone to buy you a store item for something in-game and not giving it to them. Being involved with this in any way will result in an instant removal and possible blacklist from our network.

ALL RULES ARE TO BE FOLLOWED. NEW PLAYERS ARE NOT EXEMPT FROM THE SERVER RULES. WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO PUNISH AT OUR OWN DISCRETION. THESE RULES CAN CHANGE AT ANY TIME!
